The McQuesten property, formerly known as the "Wayne", consists of 51 quartz mining claims (2550 acres) that are accessed by the all-weather Yukon Silver Trail highway. The property is adjacent to a hydro-electric transmission lineand an airstrip. the McQuesten is 120km aoutheast of Viceroy Resource Corporation's Brewery Creek gold deposit, and 35 kilometres south of the Dublin Gulch gold deposit. The village of Elsa is situated 5 km northeast of the property.
Eagle Plains Resources has sold it's remaining 30% interest in this project to Alexco Resource Corp after they had earned an initial 70% interest in the project through a Joint Venture arrangement. As part of the sale, Eagle Plains has retained a 1-2% NSR (Net Smelter Royalty) on any future production from the property.
